Hello, I'm Julia Martinez, an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor. I work with adults and adolescents. My approach is rooted in understanding individuals' unique experiences and developmental stages. Through a blend of psychotherapy, life coaching, and mind-body therapy, I work collaboratively with my clients to explore the underlying causes of their struggles and empower them with practical tools for growth and resilience.
I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where people can feel heard, understood, and supported.
With a passion for helping young people navigate life's challenges, I specialise in supporting adolescents and young adults facing issues such as depression, anxiety, self-harming, eating disorders, low self-esteem, and difficulties with emotional regulation.
I believe in the transformative power of therapy, particularly during the formative years of adolescence. By offering a holistic approach that integrates various therapeutic modalities, including IFS, cognitive-behavioural techniques, mindfulness practices, and creative expression, I help young individuals develop the self-awareness and coping strategies needed to thrive in today's complex world.
If you or someone you know is struggling with these challenges, know you're not alone. Together, we can embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and personal growth. Please feel free to explore my website and reach out to schedule a complimentary consultation.
I'm here to support you every step of the way.
To get started
To get started, please send me a message or email to schedule a free discovery call that lasts up to 30 minutes. I'll ask some questions to understand how I can best support you. We'll also discuss the practical details of our sessions, such as scheduling and session length, to ensure that we can work together effectively.
I offer comprehensive services that cater to both in-person and online clients. My physical practice is located in the beautiful Chigwell area, about a 10-minute walk from the nearest tube station. For clients travelling by car, there is easy parking available.
I also offer online consultations via Zoom. Whether you visit me in person or connect with me virtually, I am committed to providing you with the highest quality of service and care.
I have a flexible weekday schedule, with sessions available from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday. Please get in touch with me to check my availability.
Opening up to a stranger and revealing one's vulnerabilities can be a challenging task. However, my top priority is to create a comfortable and safe atmosphere so my client can share their thoughts and feelings without hesitation. During our first session, we will have the opportunity to get to know each other. It will be a conversation where the client tells me their story or answers some of my questions. More importantly, clients can share as much or as little as they feel comfortable. There is no pressure to reveal deep secrets. It is important to feel comfortable first.
The therapy sessions are 50 minutes long and incorporate creative approaches serving clients' needs. For those who find it daunting to speak and self-express, I use a special approach with metaphoric cards and art therapy.
